CHRIS – 2024

I was discharged from The Royal Bolton Hospital in early February 2023 and was keen to continue at home with the physiotherapy I started in hospital.   Unfortunately, as with all public services, there was a delay in the time that the community physio team were able to take over treatment  following my discharge of approximately 12 weeks.  I had a  recommendation for a freelance physiotherapist from someone in a similar position to me and subsequently made contact with Jane prior to my discharge.

My first meeting with Jane was able to take place within 1 week of my being discharged and so there was no break in my recovery.  Jane  tailored her therapy to suit my requirements and, when my NHS physio restarted, she was able to fit  in with whatever they were focusing on.  During my time with Jane I completed a sponsored “walk” at Leverhulme Park in September 2022 and Jane met me at the park several times whilst I was training to help me with achieving my goal of completing a circuit of the track.

Jane is extremely experienced, with a background in the NHS, is very personable and is a pleasure to work with.  I would have no hesitation in recommending Jane to anyone requiring physiotherapy.

CHRIS – 2023

I had my stroke in September 2022 and was discharged from The Royal Bolton Hospital in February 2023.  At the time Bolton NHS didn’t have any Physiotherapists  available in their Community Stroke Team and, as I was determined to continue with my recovery and didn’t want a break in my regime, I contacted Jane who was recommended to me.

We had an initial meeting/assessment and decided upon a way forward.  Jane now visits me at home where we continue to work on my walking and upper arm and also at Leverhulme Community Centre to aid with my walking around the athletics indoor and outdoor track

Jane is extremely flexible and we are continually changing our routine to fit in with anything I am doing with the Community Team (who I have also been working with since May 2023).  As Jane has previously worked in the NHS she is fully aware of the current standards and methods available.  I would have no problem recommending Jane either as a supplement to the NHS or as a stand alone physiotherapist.

 CHARLEEN and Jack – 2023

My partner has cerebral palsy. His motibility was taken off him back in 2018 when he was “reassessed”for P.I.P. His mother tried to support him in appealing, but was unsuccessful. Jane completed a full assessment and wrote a supportive letter for him to appeal. She wowed them with the science and he won it! AND they back paid him from 2018! He now has the correct mobility rating which allows him to get a Blue Badge, free train pass and use the motibility scheme. Thankyou Jane for your support, as this will drastically improve his independence and quality of life.

I would also like to say that I have worked with Jane previously for the NHS. I absolutely loved working with Jane because she always went above and beyond for her patients and worked collaboratively with who ever she needed. Jane is a fun, genuine, kind loving person who will do whatever she can to make patients lives better. So when I needed support for my partner, I 100% knew Jane would be able to help me.

SUE and Andrew 2022 –

Jane has worked wonders with mum’s hand following a significant stroke. Jane engaged mum and explained the activities to mu, the family and staff at the care home. Jane has provided a finely tailored, professional service. Communication has always been excellent and we would thoroughly recommend Jane.

KEITH and SUSAN- 2022

My husband suffered a stroke in September last year which devastated a normally fit and healthy 72yr old.His recovery has been remarkable undoubtedly it was Jane’s therapy and care which started him on the road to recovery. Apart from anything else she gave him absolute confidence in himself which he had completely lost. We can’t thank you enough Jane and we will always put Keith’s recovery down to you.

JACKIE – 2022

I was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 3 in March 2019.   The cancer spread to my brain, resulting in severe muscle spasm in my left shoulder, arm, hand and lost use of my left leg.  I was on the waiting list for a NHS Physio, however due to my terminal diagnosis and the long NHS waiting list I decided to look for a private Neuro Physio and I found Jane.

Jane has gone above and beyond, she has liaised with the palliative care team to ensure I have all the recommended aids I need to help with mobility around my home,  she has liaised with my specialist cancer team to ensure my medication is monitored to work with my ever changing mobility.   She has supported me by asking for fresh referrals and support from the specialist neurological team to ensure together we have the up to date  information with my ever changing symptoms.  Jane  has referred me to the specialist ortho team and I have been fitted with the appropriate leg splints to keep me mobile, supporting my independence that is very important to me.

We meet once a week for treatment and Jane is at the end of the phone if I have any concerns offering support and advice.  In these situations that we sometimes find ourselves in, our family and friends are wonderful and supportive, but knowing I have Jane, who understands my illness and my ever changing mobility, gives me the peace of mind and the support  that I need from a professional, allowing me to be me and spend the quality time with my family and friends.

I cannot recommend Jane highly enough in her profession and as a caring human being.

GERARD  – 2021

I have found Jane to be very professional in all aspects of her work and my condition has certainly improved after our one hour weekly sessions. I would have no hesitation recommending Jane to family and friends.

ALLAN – Stroke 2020
Jane was recommended to us by a health professional colleague. She has been working with us for approximately 18 months.

Jane is professional, knowledgeable, caring and patient. She has provided treatment plans with goals set and reviewed, as progress and health setbacks have allowed.

Jane has supported both me and our family, in working with Allan to aid his recovery. She has offered guidance and given us confidence in assisting Allan with his exercises. Allan finds Jane kind and empathetic, and he feels he is in safe, competent hands. This enables him to attempt daunting but achievable tasks, thereby he is progressing well. Jane keeps abreast of new techniques and includes these in Allan’s treatment plans.

We are extremely grateful to Jane and she works closely with other health care professionals involved in Allan’s care.

Kath and Allan

MICK – Stroke
I hired Jane for some interim physiotherapy for my husband Mick who had a stroke. We both thought she was very professional and trustworthy. She was punctual and was very knowledgeable in her work. We would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

Mick

Dear Jane,
I just wanted to get in touch with you to offer my sincerest thanks for the report you wrote in support of my appeal against the DWP’s decision not to award me the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment.

I received a letter yesterday confirming that they have now changed the decision, and that I have now been awarded the standard rate to help with my mobility needs. While the resulting financial increase is nice, I’m just pleased that they have finally recognised that my reduced mobility means that I am entitled to a higher level of support than they had originally decided to provide. That recognition is due, in no small part, to the report you wrote in support of the mandatory reconsideration of my case that I requested.

Thank you very much for your time and support – it really is very much appreciated.

Best wishes,
Alan
