About Me

My name is Jane Hartley, M.C.S.P., H.C.P.C. I am a fully registered specialist Neurological Physiotherapist, with over 23 years experience, both in the NHS and in the private sector, and I am based in the Bolton area. I have predominantly worked with adults, but also have some paediatric experience. My speciality is the treatment and rehabilitation of neurological conditions, for example T.I.A /stroke /C.V.A., Multiple Sclerosis, acquired/traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, ataxia, Motor Neurone disease, neuropathy, encephalopathy, transverse myelitis, Multiple Systems Atrophy,  neurofibromatosis, neurofibromas, Huntington’s Disease, palliative  care neurological conditions, and other rare/less common neurological, postural and movement conditions and disorders eg. PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy,  MELAS/Mitochondrial disease, C.M.T. (Charcot Marie Tooth). I also have significant experience working in general rehabilitation, including elderly care, falls, balance etc.

I provide a mobile service by bringing Physiotherapy to you in your own home. This includes specialist, comprehensive assessment, treatment plans, rehabilitation, advice/guidance, home exercise programmes, review and management/maintenance.

My approach is very much client focused and holistic, based on identifying a person’s needs and potential, where the goals and plans agreed jointly, and a timescale set, including regular review dates. I utilise a variety of different treatment approaches and techniques to achieve results.

The philosophy is to enable clients to reach their best potential through personalised, individual treatment programmes. The aim is to maximise people’s quality of life and functional independence.
