INTRODUCTION

I am an independent private physiotherapy practitioner, specialising in the provision of neurological rehabilitation. It is a mobile service, where I bring the treatment direct to patients in their own homes.

Neuro physiotherapy is a ‘hands on’ treatment aimed at maximising the functional potential of the neurologically disabled patient.

It involves the use of different treatment approaches, skills and knowledge to address the neurological problems clients present with, starting with a specialist initial assessment. From this bespoke treatment is decided, along with/including the patient and family/carers.

In the case of many neurological conditions, including stroke/C.V.A , early onset of specialist intervention and rehabilitation is vital to the long term progress and outcomes achieved.

Many neurological conditions are progressive, long term conditions, requiring ongoing, long term management.

Complex conditions and presentations, causing limited mobility and function, meaning therapy delivered in the home is advantageous.
