Specialist holistic Neurological rehabilitation to improve function, reduce symptoms and build strength and confidence.
Helping you to rebuild and achieve your goals.

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1995 and have over 25 years experience.
Early in my career I developed an interest and passion for neurological physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation – I was inspired by working with and supporting clients to improve their physical presentations and quality of life, and achieving the results was very rewarding. I quickly developed specialist knowledge, experience and training through specialist training and development. I intially worked in the NHS sector for over 14 years and then moved into independent practice full time in 2021.
I use a holistic approach to person centred care and treatment, and encourage and facilitate active client participation and ?
I have experience working with a wide variety of clients in multiple different settings over many years, ranging from hospitals to community. I have expert knowledge and experience in many different areas within neurological therapy and rehabilitation, and continue to find my work with clients very rewarding. I enjoy the challenge of continuing to develop my knowledge, experience and skills as my career progresses.
I also have significant experience and skills working within general rehabilitation, including falls and reduced mobility and balance, and as such I can work with a wide variety of conditions outside neurology as required.
During the course of my career I have worked as a lecturer on the Physiotherapy degree at Bolton university for a period of time, through which I gained many valuable insights into my profession and furthered my knowledge and experience.
I am an expert in the assessment and provison of dynamic compression, using Lycra garments, having worked as a Therapy specialist for a Lycra provision company for several years.
I work as a highly specialist neurological physiotherapist within case management cases, providing highly specialist reports and rehabilitation.
I have experience successfully supporting clients with PIP appeals, by providing specific assessments and reports for submission.
I have also recently had the privilege of working with a GB athlete who required a neurological asssessment and report for participation in an international GB athletics event.

I hired Jane for some interim physiotherapy for my husband Mick who had a stroke. We both thought she was very professional and trustworthy. She was punctual and was very knowledgeable in her work. We would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

I was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 3 in March 2019. The cancer spread to my brain, resulting in severe muscle spasm in my left shoulder, arm, hand and lost use of my left leg. I was on the waiting list for a NHS Physio, however due to my terminal diagnosis and the long NHS waiting list I decided to look for a private Neuro Physio and I found Jane.
Jane has gone above and beyond, she has liaised with the palliative care team to ensure I have all the recommended aids I need to help with mobility around my home, she has liaised with my specialist cancer team to ensure my medication is monitored to work with my ever changing mobility. She has supported me by asking for fresh referrals and support from the specialist neurological team to ensure together we have the up to date information with my ever changing symptoms. Jane has referred me to the specialist ortho team and I have been fitted with the appropriate leg splints to keep me mobile, supporting my independence that is very important to me.
We meet once a week for treatment and Jane is at the end of the phone if I have any concerns offering support and advice. In these situations that we sometimes find ourselves in, our family and friends are wonderful and supportive, but knowing I have Jane, who understands my illness and my ever changing mobility, gives me the peace of mind and the support that I need from a professional, allowing me to be me and spend the quality time with my family and friends.
I cannot recommend Jane highly enough in her profession and as a caring human being.

WHAT IS IT?
Neurological Physiotherapy is a specialist ‘hands on’ treatment aimed at maximising the functional potential of the neurological patient.
It involves the use of different treatment approaches, skills and knowledge to address the neurological problems clients present with, starting with a specialist initial assessment. From this individual bespoke treatment and management is decided, along with/including the patient and family/carers.
WHY IS IT NEEDED?
Neurological clients present with the ability to improve through new connections and relearning in the brain, and this process is facilitated by specialist intervention.
In the case of many neurological conditions, including stroke/C.V.A , the early onset of specialist intervention and rehabilitation is vital to the long term progress and outcomes achieved by clients.
Many neurological progressive, long term conditions also require ongoing, long term management, with specialist support and advice required.
Complex conditions and presentations, causing limited mobility and function, mean therapy and rehabilitation delivered in the home is highly advantageous.
